Our dedicated practice team consists of doctors, a practice nurses, allied healthcare professionals, as well as the Practice Manager, administrative staff and receptionists. Together, we provide a full range of medical services.
We aim to provide high quality, accessible services to patients in a welcoming environment where patients and staff feel respected and valued. We will try to deliver these services efficiently and effectively. We will not discriminate against anyone for any reason and we will regularly review and improve our services to make sure that they are relevant to patients' needs.
We also feel that it is important to know who you are speaking to, so our practice staff wear a named badge and identify themselves on the telephone.

Practice Nurse
Our Practice Nurse work on an appointments system. She provides a comprehensive nursing service for all categories of patients eg those with coronary heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, asthma, , advice, new patient health reviews, cervical smears, well man/well woman screening, suture removal/dressings, ear syringing, childhood vaccinations, travel vaccinations/travel advice and general advice.
First Contact Physiotherapist
First Contact Physiotherapists (FCPs) are qualified autonomous clinical practitioners who can assess, diagnose, treat and manage musculoskeletal (MSK) problems and undifferentiated conditions without a medical referral. You can book directly into these appointments.
Social Prescribers
Our Practice uses social prescribers from several different charities, so that we can support older patients, those with physical and mental health needs and those requiring urgent help.
Primary and Community Mental Health Team
We have support on offer for those with serious mental illness such as Bipolar, Borderline personality disorder etc. Please contact the surgery to arrange referral
District Nurses
The district nurses provide quality nursing care and support to housebound patients, and their carers, who have acute, chronic and palliative care needs. They work with other health professionals to provide individualised care.
Midwife
The midwife works with the doctors to provide care for mothers before and after delivery and care for the baby for the first fortnight of life. Tel: 0114 233 2803

Our receptionists are here to help you, and also, to help the practice run smoothly. Sometimes, they may need to ask you personal questions. If you wish to speak to a receptionist privately, away from the reception area, please ask to do so. All information is treated in the strictest confidence. Please remember the receptionists are only acting on the doctor's instructions. Personal information will not be given out to anyone other than the patient concerned unless the patient provides us with written consent.
